iPhone 7 and 7 Plus now up for Pre-Order in India

Apple had announced the new smartphones the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus back on September 7th, 2016. The phones went on sale in many countries on September 16th. The phone sales were not as much as expected compared to the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus last year. The phones are now up for pre-order on Amazon India and Flipkart with great launch offers. The pre-orders are expected to ship in first week of October.

iPhone 7 ans 7 Plus have a similar form factor as that of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus with some minor and some major changes in the hardware and the software aspects as well.

iPhone 7 has a 4.7" Retina HD Display with 3D touch and is now about 25% brighter than that of the iPhone 6S.  There is a 12MP rear camera with OIS and f/1.8 aperture for stunning low light photo and videos. There is also a 7MP facetime camera in the front.

iPhone 7 Plus comes with a 5.5" Retina HD Display with 3D touch. The phone has dual rear cameras, one being a telephoto lens with digital 10x zoom capabilities and another being a wide angle lens. There is also a 7MP facetime camera in the front.

Both phones have larger image sensors to let in more light and subsequently sport a larger camera bump. The fingerprint sensor is no longer a physical button, but is a capacitive button. The taptic engine of the iPhone simulates the touches you make on the button. The power button, volume rocker and the silent mode buttons are in the same place as in earlier devices.

The major changes include REMOVAL of the HEADPHONE JACK. In place of the headphone jack is a speaker grill and the phone comes with stereo speakers as the earpiece doubles up as another speaker for surround sound. In the box, Apple provides you a lightening connector earpods and an adapter for your 3.5mm headphone plugs. The phones are powered by bigger battery and the new A10 fusion chip optimized to give you better performance and battery life than the predecessors. The iPhones now come in 5 different colors namely Silver, Gold, Rose Gold (Pink), Black (Matte Black) and the all new Jet Black.

The storage options start from 32GB and then jumps to 128GB and 256GB. The black and jet black models are not available in the 32GB storage variant. The pricing for the different models of the phone are as given below:

The pricing for the iPhone 7 starts from Rs. 60,000/- for the 32GB variant and goes all the way to Rs. 80,000/-  for the 256GB variant. The iPhone 7 Plus is priced at Rs. 72000/- for the 32GB model and costs you Rs.92000/- for the 256GB variant.
